Thursday 2/04

Notice, Lewis has lost his mind. He thinks today is Tuesday in the previous post. Clearly he has sustained brain damage from last night. I can't feel my hands.

I'm a little behind, but let me talk about last night. My shift started at 7, following Michael Gay, the newest tent Engineer. Michael spent his entire shift fixing the fortress and putting up our other tent, and he did a fantastic job. so my shift started at 7 and at about 8 o'clock Zach White, The Master of Kville, asked me for a favor. What could i do but oblige? We were going to hang signs. We divided into two groups and my group found this room on the clock tower. note: this is the best room on all of campus. It is air conditioned in prime Craven/Crowell location, and it has it's own private porch in the clock tower. This little alcove looks out onto the main quad, and it's her own personal balcony. Anyway, we hung the banner, and then Zach's group showed up (well, just Zach) and he hadn't had as much luck with his banner. So i went with him and we did what i do best: shenanigan. We climbed onto the great hall/loop roof (through methods i cannot disclose here) and hung the banner over the loop entrance. Victoriously, we finished by walking straight out of the great hall kitchen. Job well done Zach. It was my pleasure to help you.

GTHC,

Nick

Hi again. Now for a story not directly related to Black/Blue tenting, but to Cameron Craziness in general. Cameron, Lewis, Brandon, Michael, Grace, and I are in the walk up line for the GT game tonight. Lewis, Cameron, and I spent the night on the cold sidewalk, while Brandon stayed in the tent. It was so dang cold last night. we stayed up for a bit watching "pants on the ground" and "a peach state of mind" on youtube. both are great videos that i highly recommend. One of thet two mattresses was flat and we decided to sleep across them both so no one would be confined to the dreaded crack, and no one would get a flat mattress. this turned out to mean that we all got a flat mattress at our feet and hips, and it led to an overall not-ideal night, to say the least. Cameo and i jacked another palate last night and it is already falling apart due to constant use. The craziest part so far involved this guy on a bike. He had a sweet corduroy jacket with elbow pads. first he came flying into the walk-up line going over some people's tarps and stuff; then he scrambled through the snow in the direction of Wilson Gym. that was weird. About an hour later he came back and drove straight over our air mattress (the flat one), with his muddy tires. I was like "dude, that's our mattress" and he angrily responded with "get it off the sidewalk!!!" It all happened so quickly that we were just left in a stupor. I'm still not sure Cameron has recovered. It was quite a crippling blow. It was just so weird. i don't get it.

till next time,

Nick
